Watchmen Report

Moriarty of Ain't It Cool News recently posted a report from London on how things are progressing on the Watchmen film currently in pre-production. The movie is an adaptation of the 1986 comic series which is popularly considered the greatest superhero story of all time, and has consistently topped sales charts at both comic shops and book stores since it was released. There's been recent question as to what the status of the film was after the management at Paramount got shifted around. Although they're still unsure at this point whether the film will stay at Paramount or not, there seems to be no question from producers as to whether or not the film will actually be made. I've always had a certain amount of skepticism on how Watchmen would work as a movie, but Moriarty, who is one of my most trusted film journalists/critics seems to be really enthusiastic about the film and has a lot of faith in the people working on it. He also posted a rave script review (HUGE SPOILER ALERT) a little while back, so for now, that's good enough for me. The biggest thing in the report though is the hints dropped about casting at the end, the most blatant one being Hillary Swank as a candidate for Silk Spectre (which I'd hate, but at this stage it's just a rumor).

Im waiting for Friday for Kicking and Screaming. Love Will Ferrell. Hopefully its funny, cause it probably has the potential to be horrible. The PG rating doesn't make me feel too confident. Not too many funny movies that are PG.
